Homecooked Southern and cajun FARE

Located in Goodlettsville on the outskirts of Nashville, Lagniappe Bayou Kitchen is a family owned restaurant with Cajun roots and a Texas flair.

Lagniappe Bayou Kitchen was born out of a love for food and feeding people. Founders Story and Kevin Craig were born and raised in the South and the southern traditions and cooking styles they grew up with heavily influence the food and atmosphere of their restaurant. After moving to Nashville they found themselves longing for a little taste of home all too often, so they decided to bring it here themselves. Story was born in New Orleans and although raised in Texas, she grew up with a Cajun grandma and trips across the Louisiana border to stock up on staples like shrimp, crawfish and boudin happened on the regular. Kevin was born in South Carolina and also raised in Texas and grew up on low country and southern cooking that would make anyone long for more.

Lagniappe Bayou Kitchen presents a cajun southern fare with a little bit of low country and Texas thrown in. The environment is comfortable and inviting… a come in, grab a bite, a cup of coffee and stay a while y’all kind of place. With a deep love for family and memories made gathered around the table, Kevin and Story wanted this place to feel like a little bit of home. Kevin and Story have grown children and an adopted little boy who you may be lucky enough to encounter when you visit the restaurant. When they aren’t cooking at the restaurant they love spending their time at their home with their son Kingston and their animals.

We are a counter service restaurant and seat on a first come, first serve basis. We do have limited seating so at busy times, especially Friday and Saturday evenings, a wait is likely. Large parties (10+) may call in advance so we can do our best to accommodate.. Certain holidays may be an exception.

comes with 10 - 8oz wagyu beef patties, 10 premium buns, shredded lettuce, fresh sliced tomatoes, rings of yellow onion, dill pickle chips, ketchup, mustard, mayo, American cheese, and provolone cheese. this will also include a choice of: a family sized pan of our house salad with a choice of two dressings (ranch, blue cheese, vinaigrette, Greek dressing, or honey mustard), pasta salad, or a variety of Zapp’s brand potato chips.

a choice of Zapp’s brand potato chips or cucumber/tomato/onion salad available as your side. mayo and remoulade will be placed on the side for your guests’ choosing

Texas Taco Platter

a family sized pan of our house salad with a choice of two dressings (ranch, blue cheese, vinaigrette, Greek dressing or honey mustard)

18 tacos with your choice of two proteins: fresh catfish (blackened or fried), gulf shrimp (blackened or fried), slow simmered-chipotle pork, or bbq brisket. you can also choose if you prefer flour or corn tortillas

***as an additional bonus, we will include a pan of our house made banana pudding!***

Seafood Sample Platter

6 filets of our fresh catfish (blackened or fried), 15 fried oysters, 15 gulf shrimp (blackened or fried), 1 pound of blue crab claws (sauteed or fried), tartar sauce, cocktail sauce, remoulade, and ranch.

the crab claws or oysters can be substituted for lagniappe crab cakes, fried gator, or fried crawfish tails

***one family pan side included: cajun greens, southern style green beans, cucumber/tomato/onion salad, or house salad with your choice of two dressings (ranch, blue cheese, vinaigrette, Greek dressing, or honey mustard)
